Week 5 Summer term  Mulberry Class Home Learning A mulberry tree Wow, Mulberry Class,  I can't believe we have been apart for this many weeks now.  I know many of you are missing being with your friends, and being in class, so I hope that trying some of these Home learning activities will make you feel like you are all working on the same thing, as if we are really in class together. Hopefully, we will be able to meet up back in school again soon. This week, Mrs Kelly and I have included science that gets you to think about your muscles and bodies, topic that allows you to find out more about places in Europe and a music activity too. It is good to keep practising our maths skills, as well as our literacy skills. Easter holidays Home learning Mulberry Class Hope you all have a lovely Easter break. If you want some activities to do over the next two weeks, here are some below: Easter activities: In your learning pack you will find: 1) Easter egg colour by numbers division sheet - use your 2,3,5 and 10 times tables to help you find the answers to these divisions. 2) Easter multiplication mosaic sheet - solve the maths problems to reveal the hidden picture. Other activities you could do are:  1) Art - Walk around your garden or an area outside and identify examples of new life such as buds opening, bulbs growing, shoots appearing etc... In your exercise book sent home, make careful drawings of spring flowers and buds. 2) PE - Try out some short gymnastic workouts from Olympic gymnast Max Whitlock - search for 'Max Whitlock you tube'  OR continue with exercising with 'Jump start Jonny' 3) Nature - Spot how many birds and animals you can see outside OR

Today is officially the last day of term, so tomorrow I will post some Easter activities that you could do over the next 2 weeks, if you want to, or if you get a bit bored and would like something to do!! Tuesday 31st March  Home learning Mulberry Class Mental maths Work out these quick calculations either in your head, or by drawing it to help work out the answers. Maths-   Money Notice (below) that you can look at an amount of money, and work out how much there is, then write the amount using the £ symbol e.g. £2.04 1) Try Challenge 1: OR Challenge 2: Literacy/Reading Poetry: 1) Look at the pictures of the animals and choose one animal .  Make a list of all the features of that animal e.g. Lion – fur, nose, ears, whiskers, teeth, paws 2) Take each feature in turn and brainstorm as many words as can think of e.g.   Fur is soft, golden, thick Paws are large, powerful, dangerous. Monday 30th March  Home learning Mulberry Class Morning Mulberry Class, hope you managed to get outside to get some fresh air this weekend. I will be blogging another set of activities to do this week. These activities are guidelines of ideas, so please do any of them that you are able to. I've tried to keep the tasks to the routine of a normal Monday. We are starting some work on poetry this week, so today I have given you some poetry to read and think about. If you are able to get out into a garden, then have a look at what wildlife you can see outside too.
