What are we reading in Mulberry Class this Autumn?

Here are some items that we found in a story box. We used them to help us guess the name of our class book, that we will be reading this half term.  Can you use the clues to guess the book?

Place value work in maths

In Maths this term we shall be focusing on: Place value – knowing the value of each digit in a number. Calculations :  addition and subtraction skills Shape : properties of 2D and 3D shape We will apply skills to a range of situations and develop perseverance and resilience when problem solving.  How you can help at home: Encourage your child to practise their times tables (2x, 3x, 5x, 10x). Provide opportunities for using money and telling the time. Give them time to play maths games, either on the internet or with the games that can be loaned out from our school library.  Give them time to play the games on 'Sumdog' twice a week (these are website accessible maths games, free for our pupils to use). Each child now has a Sumdog log in attached to the last page of their yellow reading record.

Sumdog maths activities The  Sumdog resource has been purchased by the school so that each child in Key Stage Two can regularly access maths games. These maths games will support your child’s learning and are free for you to access at home. Each child has their own username and password to log in with (see your child’s log in details below) They can access this online resource whenever they like, either by: ·          finding this website on a computer https://www.sumdog.com/ and then typing in their username and password      or by downloading the Sumdog app onto a tablet, and then typing in their username and password.      Please give them time to play the games and activities on 'Sumdog' twice a week.
